My Story
I didn’t grow up knowing how to read the Bible. In fact, I didn’t grow up in a Christian home at all. My first real exposure to church came through an invitation, and everything began to change from there. I gave my life to Jesus as a kid, but like a lot of people, I didn’t automatically know how to understand Scripture in a deep or meaningful way.
I began to attend every worship service and Sunday School class I could. And the more I got involved in church, the more I started to notice something. A lot of people love God, but they don’t feel confident in His Word.
They hear sermons.
They read verses.
But when it comes to actually understanding the Bible for themselves, they feel stuck. That burden stayed with me.
It shaped my calling early on, from serving in children’s ministry as a teenager to stepping into full-time ministry and eventually pastoring.
Over time, God made it clear what I was supposed to do with my life: Help people understand His Word in a way that actually changes how they live. That calling has taken shape through preaching, writing, building resources, and creating spaces where people can grow in their faith with clarity and confidence.
Because I’ve become convinced of this: Most people don’t struggle with belief, they struggle with understanding. And everything I do, from writing devotionals to teaching and building tools, flows from that burden.
